Astres est une enquête photographique personnelle et métaphorique sur mon déplacement de la ville vers les grands espaces du Bas Saint-Laurent. À travers une série d’images je veux explorer cette peur de la nature qui est sous-jacente et qui semble constamment peser sur l’être urbain que je suis.

« C’est dans un état transitoire, rythmé par des aller-retours sur la route et ponctué par des immersions forestières imprégnées d’inquiétude, qu’Hubert Gaudreau enracine sa série photographique. S’attardant à des détails autant évocateurs qu’énigmatiques, les flâneries de l’artiste sont hantées par une bête invisible, métaphore de la peur de l’inconnu. Astres is a personal and metaphorical photographic investigation of my movement from the city to the wide open spaces of the Bas Saint-Laurent. Through a series of images I want to explore this fear of nature that is underlying and which seems to constantly weigh on the urban being that I am.
